Work needs to be balanced with life, especially our spiritual life. Is it draining the life out of us and stealing our time from worship and service to God?

Fear God, honor the King | 1 Peter 2:16-17

Stumbling block | 1 Peter 2:7-8
Jesus is a stumbling block, an offense. Why? Pride. Jesus calls all who want to receive Him to repent of their sins which requires a humble act of confession.
Living cornerstone | 1 Peter 2:4-6
Are we presenting our bodies as living and holy sacrifices to God? Remember sacrifices by their nature die. So we need to, as Jesus taught us, die to ourselves.
Spiritual milk | 1 Peter 2:1-3
Babies naturally crave milk from their mother. Peter uses this analogy to encourage his readers to have the same attitude toward spiritual sustenance.
Born again by the Word | 1 Peter 1:22-25
Isaiah 40:6-8 emphasizes that our flesh, like flowers, fades; it cannot stand the test of time or trials. But that’s not the case for the Word. It endures.
Through Him we believe | 1 Peter 1:20-21
Through Christ, and Him alone, we believe in God the Father. The Father raised Jesus from the dead after His sacrificial death. He gave glory to Jesus.
