Jesus asks the Father: keep the disciples “in Your Name”. So far, Jesus has kept them. Now He turns that over to the Father since He is leaving (Ps 121:7).

Confusion, grief, joy | John 16:16-22
As the situation changes, our emotions change. But God doesn’t change. The truth never changes. For eternity, faith, hope and love remain. (1 Cor 13:13).
Teaching through the Spirit | John 16:12-15
Jesus had the perfect solution which He alluded to yesterday: the Holy Spirit. After He departs, Jesus uses the Holy Spirit to communicate to all the disciples.
Sin, righteousness and judgment | John 16:5-11
Convict of sin, righteousness and judgement. None of these we can do. But we can pray the Spirit convicts those around us through the Word and our testimony.
Persecution to death | John 16:1-4
This persecution would involve being ostracized from society and religion. The “ultimate” persecution would be death for the early disciples (Acts 22:3-5).
