John is very clear: those who deny the Son deny the Father as well. They are literally inseparable. You can’t have one without the other.

The Lord saw this and took action. He didn’t need to “come down”. What does it tell us? It’s God’s play on v4, “Come, let’s build” – as if He’s mocking them.

But mostly, we are like Him in having a spirit. The account here is quite clear as we’ll see in Genesis 2:7 where God gives Adam of His spirit (1 John 4:13).

This Spirit of God was present in the creation, hovering over it, possibly observing and studying (though not for a lack of information, knowledge or wisdom).
Father’s love (Jesus) in us | John 17:25-26
Jesus wants that the same love the Father has for Jesus to be in His disciples! Do you get that? 1) Do you understand? 2) D you have that love?
Unity for all in Us | John 17:20-21
Jesus and the Father are one. He wants that same oneness among the disciples – not just the 11 but all disciples. Philippians 2:2 instructs us to live in unity.
Teaching through the Spirit | John 16:12-15
Jesus had the perfect solution which He alluded to yesterday: the Holy Spirit. After He departs, Jesus uses the Holy Spirit to communicate to all the disciples.
Holy Spirit | John 15:26-27 (AMP)
Jesus came to earth (incarnation) and lived among men. He dies, resurrects to Heaven then “tags” the Holy Spirit who then comes to live in believers.
