We have the example and call to follow it, but who of us will suffer like Jesus? The answer (v24): we are called to die to sin and live for righteousness.

We take up our cross *daily*. It’s a constant decision. At each decision point in life, even during the day, we should choose to deny ourselves.

When we face false accusations are we able to remain silent and trust the Lord to be our defender and the One who has laid the path before us?

Who do you say Jesus is? Is He a great teacher? An amazing prophet of God? A miracle worker and healer? He is all of these but as we noted above, He is more.
Glorified the God of Israel | Matthew 15:29-31
What stands out in this passage? “And they glorified the God of Israel.” What is our purpose in life? By following Jesus’ example we will accomplish it.
Yoked with Jesus | Matthew 11:28-30
He uses a yoke to describe how He can provide rest. At first glance, the idea of putting on a yoke brings a picture of more work, not less!
Jesus goes as disciples go | Matthew 11:1
To stress His previous teaching that a disciple is not greater than their Master (10:24), Jesus now goes out to do the same things He sent the disciples to do.
Give up all | Matthew 10:34-39
Jesus’ disciples need to make a decision that nothing and no one is more worthy of their praise and devotion than Him & to be willing to die to ourselves.
Be like the Master | Matthew 10:24-25
Are we striving to be like our Master? It’s a day-by-day and even decision-by-decision life where we need to choose to follow Him and obey Him.
