Faith perfected by works | James 2:20-26
What James means by perfection is, “Faith is thus nourished and strengthened by works.” For Abraham, his faith was strengthened by the trials he experienced.
Faith or works? | James 2:14-17
His point, I believe, is to shine the spotlight on “faith freeloaders”, people who “profess” faith but show no evidence of faith; they bear no fruit.
Golden rule and favoritism | James 2:8-13
Ultimately, favoritism stems from breaking what King Jesus deemed the 2nd greatest commandment: love our neighbor as ourself (Mark 12:31).
God’s favoritism? | James 2:1-7
We need to ask ourselves who we treat poorly, improperly. Ask the Spirit to shine His bright light to expose our sin. And, to get to the core of the matter.
Real religion | James 1:26-27
Do you practice true religion? Are you lead to the mercy seat of God to ask forgiveness? He is faithful & just to forgive and cleanse of all unrighteousness!
