Jesus is being crushed emotionally and spiritually. He will soon be crushed physically.
Hope in disappointment | Matthew 26:30-35
Jesus predicts the others will also desert Him. But then…in the midst of such great disappointment, He gives them hope. He will meet them again in Galilee.
Lord’s Supper | Matthew 26:26-30

Anointing for burial | Matthew 26:6-13
Imagine the thoughts and emotions flooding Him. He was receiving this pure demonstration of love while at the same time realizing it was pointing to His death.
Priest plotting | Matthew 26:3-5
While Jesus is with His disciples sharing this prophecy about His coming death, the chief priests and other religious leaders were fulfilling the prophecy!
Transition to crucifixion | Matthew 26:1-2
Jesus has presented His disciples (and us) with a very detailed picture of what the end times will be like. It’s two days to go until Passover starts.
Sheep and Goats Summary | Matthew 25:41-46
But we can say that the things they were doing, maybe even good things, were _not_ serving the Lord vicariously through “the least of these”.
