He will quiet you with his love…
The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But it was because the Lord loved you. – We love because he first loved us.
But not he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight. – This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. – But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well please.” – “The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life – only to take it up again.” – The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
