Surely the Lord is in this place

“Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.”

For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. – I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

“My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest. – Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?  If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. – “Am I only a God nearby,” declares the Lord, “and not a God far away? Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?” declares the Lord.  “Do not I fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord.

“The heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you.  How much less this temple I have built!” – For this is what the high and lofty one says – he who lives for ever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and lofty place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.” – For we are the temple of the living God.
