The Lord is my light and my salvation

Be strong and courageous!

The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? – He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. – If God is for us, who can be against us? – The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.  What can man do to me? – Through you we push back our enemies; through your name we trample our foes.

We are more than conquerors through him who loved us. – “Now begin the work, and the Lord be with you.”
